I was commissioned by the Science Museum Group and artist Bedwyr Williams to write a creative response to the move of over 300,000 objects from the Blythe House stores in London to the new Hawking Building in Wiltshire.

Bedwyr Williams and Sally O'Reilly worked with a small group of writers to engage with the collection, with online group sessions and, when the pandemic restrictions eased, several incredible trips to the site itself. In October 2024, I was privileged to attend the opening of the building, the launch of the book, Science Fictions, and of Bedwyr's video artwork, The Wrong Thing.

My contribution to the anthology, The Hospital of the Future Past, is in the form of a guide for new patients to a hospital in which the Science Museum Group's collections have been licensed for use in healthcare, in a post-antibiotic world.
